This is an update of the6th Chapter Meeting held at Bishan
(Sat, 27 Jan 2007, 9.45am to 12.50pm).
May we present to you our latest Competent Communicator, Koh Chung King. He completed his 10th project with syle. Chung King used a range of public speaking skills including body language; vocal variety; picture words; and story telling. He skilfully weave them into his speech to deliver an inspiring message "You are Powerful ... very powerful!". The audience gave him a standing ovation. Congratulations Chung King!
Otis Williams, the 1993 World Champion International Speech was viewed and a quick dissection on his speech was carried out amongst participants in preparation for the upcoming 2006/07 Club and Area International speech & Table Topics Contest.
Best Prepared Speech: Koh Chung King
Best Table Topics Speaker: Yeo Poh Lian tied with Richard Lam;
Best Evaluator: Ong Lye Sum
Speakers Theresa and See Pock did equally well with their motivational speech to complete Pj8 and Pj4 respectively. Agnes Poh, Sivanathan was quick and sharp with their role as timer and ah counter. Velkumar did well to be the first time "Toastmasters of the Day". President Yeo Poh Lian, did what she needed to do. Inspire us! We've got good support from ITE College West Gavel Club member: Permjit Singh and Alumni member: Royston Tang.Patron Tan Kay Chuan, thanks for the support and gift for the evaluators.
