Spoke on theme "Expectation is better than realisation". Related how his classmates & himself did not expect that Maths was tough till they set for the test and realised needed more work. In Toastmasters, we should be prepared for speeches, expect to check visuals, materials, etc are in order and not to realise just before giving speech that things are not in order.

1) Beng Kee, P4 (Speech Title: Days got thrown)
Shared his experience of learning judo. Encounter with sparing partner who is bigger, stronger. Attack - best form of defence.
2) Theresa, AP3 (Speech Title: The Journey)
Entertained us on her personal journey from her home country to S'pore. She was cautious and cool when first step foot in S'pore. Aborbed the Singlish language along the way.
3) Anand, AP4 (Speech Title: The Prisoner of Zenda)
Narrated a story from a book & brought it to life through his use of Vocal Variety.
Project Evaluation
Azizah (NTU Alumni TMC), Heru (Cairnhill TMC) & Au Yeong (Entreprenuers' TMC) fedback on the areas done well and gave suggestions for improvement.
Language Evaluation
Our Divn B Governor, Anand, touched on incorrect pronunciation, creative use (simile, contrast, alliteration, etc) and use of Word of the Day.
Guests
Jeannie & Mdm Koh from ABB attended as they were looking at starting an in-house Club in their organization.
We were delighted to have our International Director, DTM Poh Kim Siong to join in the meeting and thereafter providing advice to our 2 guests from ABB.
