President's AddressLye Sum reporterd on the Area contests held on Sat 14 Mar for International Speech & Table Topics. Yeo Poh Lian came in 1st runner-up in Table Topics. A FIRST for our club as we were not placed before in Area Table Topics contest before. He shared the learning values. Told a story about a street vendor practicing a skill. Reflected on the theme: Knowledge without practice makes but half an artist.

Induction CeremonyVPM, Yeo Poh Lian, conducted the formal induction ceremony for new members Eng Meng Choon & Koh Ho Peng. Both felt welcomed to the Club.

2) Lye Sum, AP1. Informed us about Hair Loss - why the concerns, causes, possible solutions & recommended solutions.

3) Siva, AP5 - Completed Entertaining Speaker ManualDepicted a scenario whereby he's having Dinner with his former classmates from university who were non-TMs. He spoke on how his own Club was formed & how he joined the TMC.

Project Evaluation
Patrick (DSTA TMC), Anne Chung (Sony Ericsson & ACE TMCs) & Mohd.Hijazi (AIA Changi TMC) fedback on the areas done well and gave suggestions for improvement.

Language Evaluation
K S Teo thanked those who used the word of the day. He praised the good use of language & cautioned on the use of not so good use of language. He suggested to replace the sub-heading "Impromptu Speeches" in the programme sheet with "Table Topics". Also, to indicate (min/s) beside "Duration".

Ah Counter
Yeo Poh Lian demonstrated remarkable listening skills when giving the Ah Counter's report.

General Evaluation
Belinda (SIM 1 TMC) summarised the whole meeting on areas done well. Suggested having a registration counter.

Thanks to Kay Chuan who bought food & souvenirs for visiting TMs.

There was 1 guest from Yishun Campus who was observing the meeting.
