11th Chapter Meeting 19 May 2010 @ ITE HQ Board Room

President's Opening AddressOn the theme "The difference between Ordinary & Extraordinary is that Little Extra", Siva shared from a book he read that to be an extraordinary person, one must not do what an average person would do. Example, an average person complains, an extraordinary person would focus on solving the problem.

Siva proceeded to share some quotes which he read over the internet from an extraordinary person, Michael Jordon.

"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."
"Success isn't something you chase. It's something you have to put forth the effort for constantly. Then maybe it'll come when you least expect it. Most people don't understand that."
"I realized that if I was going to achieve anything in life I had to be aggressive. I had to get out there and go for it... I know fear is an obstacle for some people, but it's an illusion to me."
"I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot... and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why... I succeed."
"I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I don't do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do, then I can expect half-hearted results."
"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen."
