She often heard of people getting petrified of joining Toastmasters because they don’t want to be embarrassed. However, if they were asked if they would want to be a better communicator and most of them would reply "Yes". But Toastmasters is not the real deal. After chapter meetings, we would go about on our own way with our professional and social lives. TM members might not view Toastmasters as a preparation for the real deal in life. She viewed that it is a preparation for the next big thing. It could be a presentation to a mass audience for the ‘Best Teacher Award’ or to the CEO and Directors. She geared us up to make chapter meetings prepare us for the real deal because the early bird catches the worm, let the preparation begin now.

Closing Address
President Theresa shared that she heard that success comes when preparation meets opportunity. That's how we should see each of us here in Toastmasters. You should be able to seize opportunities that will come your way because you have been prepared for it. Let's continue to prepare early for the "worms of opportunities awaiting".
