President's Opening Address
Siva touched on the theme "Forget Injuries, Never Forget Kindness" by Confucius. We should forget injuries as injuries given by others are not forever. However, one should never forget kindness as kindness always comes from deep inside the heart.
Shared a story he read on the internet about "The Lion & The Mouse". In this story, the lion caught the mouse one day disturbing his sleep. The mouse begged the lion to let him go as he would help him one day. The day came when the lion who was hunting for some food fell into a trap set up by hunters. The lion tried to free himself but with every move he made, the ropes bound him tighter. The mouse hearing the roars came to his aid & gnawed at the ropes with its sharp teeth. The lion was freed & said gently to the mouse "You did help me eventhough I am big & you are so little. I see now that kindness is always worthwhile".

Being a veteran Toastmaster, he made the meeting lively with his witty and timely use of language. He demonstrated his ability to to think on his feet by ad-libbing after each prepared speech.
